Honorary Doctorate Ceremony

Honorary Doctorate Ceremony

Production: Roni Katz Frydman

A series of large vertical banners designed for the main lobby of Tel Aviv University accompanied the Honorary Doctorate ceremony, transforming the entrance space into a ceremonial path leading toward the main event. Each banner was dedicated to one of the honorees and combined their portrait with a curated composition of objects, tools, and visual references drawn from different fields of knowledge. The visual language creates a dialogue between the individual and the intellectual world they represent, echoing the broader campaign concept that invited audiences to join the journey toward new breakthroughs.

The graphic system developed for the project was designed to function across multiple media and scales. The same visual language appeared on the ceremony screens, in the printed program for the evening, and across various materials throughout the Board of Governors events. The ceremony itself marks the culmination of the week’s activities, and the design aimed to create a continuous visual experience connecting the physical space, the digital content, and the printed materials.

Throughout the Board of Governors events, the graphic language could be seen applied in many additional contexts, demonstrating how the visual system developed for the campaign provided a flexible toolkit of elements, colors, and typographic structures adaptable to a wide range of events, formats, and environments.
