Bamat Hauma

Bamat Hauma

a cultural festival that was planned to unite diverse audiences and sounds across Israel,  was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was designed to promote domestic tourism in Jerusalem by blending musical styles, collaborative performances, and vibrant shared experiences on a single national stage. The visual identity was built upon deep typographic research, referencing posters and visual language from Israeli concerts and festivals throughout the decades. The custom typeface was developed through a reversed process, created manually via silk screen printing in the studio, then digitized. This approach intentionally embraced analog imperfection and randomness, distancing the design from over-polished digital aesthetics.

From this base, we developed a full graphic system, including festival T-shirts and modular branding elements, combining fresh contemporary energy with a nostalgic Israeli spirit.

Though the festival was never realized, the design remains a testament to thoughtful typographic exploration and cultural storytelling.
